“I like an epic ride on the mountian bike as well as a good old fashioned  beating on the CX course.  I am inspired by the dedication and determination seen at the cat 1 and 2 levels of racing with all of the regular Joes and Jills out there making it happen while raising kids and working the 40.  Most of all being on a bicycle just makes me happy.”

Adam Gordon

Adam started road riding in 1993 and racing in 1997 after joining the University of Colorado’s cycling team.  A perpetual middle-of-the-pack rider, he enjoyed racing and road riding, but didn’t find it fulfilling.  In 2002, he watched his sister compete in the Columbia Triathlon and was hooked.  He competed in his first triathlon in San Diego in 2003 and raced in multiple triathlons per year ever since culminating in his first Ironman at Coeur d’ Alene in 2009.  In 2010, after 4 years of longer distance triathlons, he is returning to Olympic distance and shorter as well as some road TTs to get his bike speed back.
Adam is married and has two four-legged children (Labs), Bajan and Luna.

Dropped by Peter

Why is Peter sandbagging big time? Do you really get satisfaction from winning a race that is below your level?

We can give you lots of attention and love if you need it that much.

Beat the entire field at Frostbite (cat 4, 3 and 2) and dominated the cat 4′s at 99.

Time to stop beating up the little kids and step up and play with some bigger boys.

First thing, anonymous comments sure speak highly of your character.
Next, look at Peter’s results from last year. He did do quite well in some TTs but he didn’t earn a single mass start upgrade point.
Sure Peter has trained his ass off this winter and is strong but he needed to test himself before upgrading. He kicked ass at Frostbite but don’t you think he should see how at least one mass start race went before upgrading (it was a practice crit after all)?
Last, according to the ACA you cannot upgrade on TT results alone. Peter’s request was put in after his crit win but it is up to the ACA now.

Here is an idea: How about, instead of bitching about how fast other people are, you go out and get some training in?

Marcia Graven

That looks like Scott Winborne, second from the right in the above photo (USA cycling National Championships podium), but I don’t see his bio on this page.

That isn’t Scott, I believe it is Mark Gouge (Justin/Titus). I’m pretty sure Scott only races cross but I may be wrong. He raced with us last year but switched to Alpha team so could race with his son who is participating in their juniors program.
